Description:

Candles are used as alternative source of light, or for some they are used as decorations at home.

How it’s Made:

Hemp candles are made by infusing hemp oil in soy wax as base.⁽¹⁾

Advantages:

Hemp candles are long lasting. It is lead and zinc free. It gives a hotter burning wick.⁽²⁾

Disadvantages:

Hemp product’s innovation are limited thus making it expensive.⁽³⁾

History:

Hemp wicks was first use in ancient Egypt. Melted animal fat is poured over hemp fibers resembling the hemp wick as we now see it. The ancient Roman empire then developed the use of candle.⁽⁴⁾

Looking to the Future:

The continuous use of hemp can reduce environmental impact. It is an awesome crop to use today and in the furture.⁽⁵⁾
